The Four Grand Prize Winners of The Tote-ally Crafty Bag Challenge Are...comments (2) August 8th, 2008
It is with great pride that we present the four grand prize winners of our first CraftStylish Challenge!
In the Omni-crafter category, for her absolutely darling and marvelously executed entry, the prize goes to Bloomin' Tote by ErinMichelle! Just like you, we loved the flower embellishments and pretty fabric choices. We are also hoping that ErinMichelle is serious about creating a tutorial to show us how she made her super-cute blooms!
The competion was stiff in the very popular Eco-Chic category and we found ourselves with the luxurious problem of having an abundance of eco-craft totes to choose from. After much excited ado, we were able to reach a concensus and the prize goes to the extraordinary recycling acheivement of the Tote-ally Tab Maille bag by sjroemer! We love how this bag turns discarded flip-tops into crafting gold, creating a unique tote that is ultra-chic.
We ohh'ed and ahh'ed over this next winning entry in The All That Glitters category, the prize going to the aptly named A Girl's Best Friend Tote by ohsohappytogether. Who could resist an elegant, evening bag that just keeps on sparkling? We were especially impressed by the use of quilt batting that gives this tote it's fabulous, pillowy effect--so dreamy with the satiny fabric. Definitely a girl's best friend.
The fourth grand prize, in the Play Ball category goes to the fetching and fabulously stylish Carry-All Knitting Tote by pjonesr. We were in a tizzy over this bag's design: gorgeous cable knit rows make the use of extra bulky weight yarn look so polished, and give the thirty year old wooden handles a nice modern dash. This nice and roomy tote could easily be the ultimate knitting bag!
Congratulations to all of our Challenge winners. While you are all resting on your laurels and we are basking in your reflected glory, we invite everyone to take a tour through the gallery of challenge posts. While it was hard to pick out winners, it was a delight to look through each entry and read the posts and commentaries from everyone. We were moved that so many of you invested so much heart and soul into your creations making this challenge an incredible creative experience for everyone involved.
Thank you all from CraftStylish!
