Black Silk Jacket with Beaded Lapels and Pockets
comments (1) September 16th, 2010 in galleryThis fitted jacket was inspired by a trip to Italy. I found this beautiful silk fabric with a very fine ribbing detail through it in Rome. I love the serpent motif and had been doing a lot of tambour beading, so I decided to design and bead a serpent motif slithering up the lapels as well as on the jacket flaps. I collect antique buttons and the ones on the jacket are 100 year old cut glass buttons.
