How to Make a Super-Simple Roll-Up for Organizing Your Crochet Hooks
comments (7) August 27th, 2008To prevent puckering, start sewing each line at the folded edge. End each seam at the edge of the folded section. Be sure to backstitch at the beginning and end of each seam, and trim the threads after sewing each line.

Place your hooks in the case, and fold the top edge of the place mat down so that even the tallest hook fits underneath the fold. |
Mark the fold. I made my fold 1-3/4 inches wide, which will accommodate standard crochet hooks.
Press the top fold. |
Making stitches very close to the folded edge, sew along the length of the pressed fold. This fold will keep your hooks from falling out when the case is rolled up. You may want to skip the top fold altogether if you plan to store long hooks or if you make this case for your knitting needles.

Your hook case is complete! Stash your hooks inside. |
Roll the case from the edge without the rickrack to the rickrack edge. Tie the rickrack around the roll. |
Now you can carry your hooks in style and keep them all in one place.
