Knit and stretching jean jacket with matching dress
comments (1) September 29th, 2010 in galleryThis vest was done last month after I got my riding jeans and a knit dress done about a week before. I got a lot of stretching jean and wool knit fabrics left over. So I said why not to make a light jacket for Fall. Just about time I saw this contest on Threads Ads. I designed and cut it totally fit and combination both jean and knit matching with the knit dress. Plus a big round scarf to make XL collar or shoulder cover for the dress.
For embellishments, I used orange thread and decoration zigzag for top stitching, then added ruffled back collar and 2 bow ties. For closing front I stitched in 2 knit strips and cut into 5 small strips at the other ends which are long enough for me to place them anywhere I want (be able put them through under the back collar ant attach to eachother by a safety pin or tuck around the bow ties as in the photo). The jacket's body was lined with charcoal nilon (no lining for sleeves)
