Kaffe Fassetts Quilts en Provence

Kaffe Fassett's Quilts en Provence

Photo: The Taunton Press

We are giving away two copies of a great new book by quilting celebrity Kaffe Fassett. Included in Kaffe Fassett's Quilts en Provence are 20 designs from Rowan. The designs in this book are based on Fassett's signature line of Rowan fabrics, and feature talented quilters such as Roberta Horton, Liza Prior Lucy, and Mary Mashuta. Complete instructions, diagrams, and the templates needed to create them are only the start. There are also tips and techniques from the master himself to help you along.

To enter, FIRST CHANGE YOUR AVATAR associated with your CraftStylish ID from one of our stock images to one of your own. It can be a picture of you, something you made, or even an illustration. To change your avatar, click on "Mine" above. Next, click on "Edit My Settings" in the upper right corner of the window. Then, click "Change Your Profile Image" and upload the image of your choice from your computer. The image can be up to 4 MB or 1,200 pixels.

Good luck!

spr01nk writes: I adore Provençal quilts. I was just there last month, and the fabrics used were amazingly bright. Of course most of the shops were carrying *grey* and *purple* the two colors of current fashion. I admit, I didn't see anything like what is on the cover of the book, so I am quite keen to see what's inside.

CraftyMommy writes: I try to simply be the best "me" that I can be. When I'm quilting, I quilt to the very best of my ability. The same is true when I do anything: parent, prepare a meal, wash the car, craft...well, you get the picture. I would be thrilled to win one of these sumptuous books (what an inspiration is Kaffe!), but if I am not chosen, then I wish the winner(s) the very best, and I will happily continue down life's pathways. Blessings!

My primary inspiration to learn was so that I could repair a couple of heirloom quilts that were made by my grandmother and my partner's grandmother. I just changed my avatar pic to one of a "Holy Mother" prayer shawl that I finished a couple of weeks ago to send to a dear friend of mine in Ohio.

I am not an accomplished sewer, notice I didn't use the word "seamstress" but am trying to improve my skills with "Threads" etc. Anyway, I wanted to say to David Hubert, geez. If it is too much bother than don't bother. It is assumed that if you visit or are a member of this entity, you may be interested in the offerings. Chill. So anyway, good luck to all.

DavidHubert writes: This is not a contest! This is paramount to Entrapment. To make ourselves eligible to compete at the opportunity of winning a paperback book, we have to log on to the site and be counted amongst Taunton's customer base. Then creatively adopt some animated figure that didn't represent the persons we are to begin with and then we have to write on the "Blog" somehow implying out endorsement of anything being presented. Why does anyone assume we want a goofy face to symbolize what we are? I don't sign checks with little puppy heads or cute little baloons instead of dotting an I. Hey how about a ... Put your name and email or phone # on an entry and hit submit contest where we don't have to spend ten or fifteen dollars worth of time and labor in hopes of getting a pretty picture book.
