1. The scarf
I was recently given a heap of silk scarfs that were on their way to the salvos(which i accepted very very excitedly!)
This is the first one i have created something with. I love the colours and the crazy paisley pattern.
2. The base
I made a basic camisole top from lining. This is my base- I have left the neckline unfinished at this stage. (You could just buy a basic singlet top from a thrift store if you want to try this.)
3. Pin your scarf
Next i pinned the scarf onto the top creating some interesting folds and tucks.
4. The finished top:
To make the top look professionally finished you need to either create a facing (line the neckline to conceal all the raw edges) or fold it back and stitch in place like a hem.
