Altered Baby Gap Vintage Inspired Beautiful White Tank Dress
comments (0) October 10th, 2010 in galleryThis beautiful new Baby Gap dress was stunning on its own....but I had a vintage vision in my head so I altered it to give it another look. Originally this was all white with the neck line and arm holes trimmed in a crochet cotton lace. The top of the dress is a ribbed cotton knit. The gathered skirt part of the dress has a beautiful crocheted lace insert near the hemline. Well I added a darling vintage silhouette image by heat pressig the image on the bodice. I had this dusty rose vintage lace in my stash so I laced some black satin ribbon through the loopy top of the lace and attached this to the high waist line of the dress. Then I added a black satin bow with long streamers in the center and attached black vintage buttons at the sides securing the lace attachment. I love how it turned out and how the added embellishments gave it just enough pop. You can find this at Cameo Kids Boutique.
