blue canvas motorcycle jacket for jacket challenge
comments (2) October 16th, 2010 in galleryI've always loved the cropped cut and asymmetrical zip of motorcycle jackets, but I'm not a big fan of leather. When I saw the BurdaStyle pattern #6032 I knew I wanted to make it out of cotton canvas. I picked a bright blue, with pink polar fleece lining for warmth and flare! I lengthened the pattern by 2" and added some extra hardware on the lapels to mimic real motorcycle jackets. The jacket has an assymetrical front zipper for a convertable lapel, back vents, 2 piece sleeves, wrist zips, tabs along the waist for cinching, and zipper pockets. I'm really happy with how this turned out!
