"Autumn Military Plaid Jacket " for Fall 2010 Jacket challenge
comments (2) October 18th, 2010 in galleryI was inspired to make a design and produce this Autumn Military plaid jacket, by reading the article for our fall 2010 issue of Sew Stylish magazine. I chosed to do a military inspired theme because of my deep honor and respect for our military service men and women. The design and production of this jacket was created by me, through the inspiration and instruction of a wonderful magazine " Sew Stylish" and with its creative concept of providing ideas and helpful instructions to creative people who love to sew and create different stuff. I incorporate in this design, on how to put a removable and stylish fur trim that can add style and glamour to a Jacket. I put a tiny buttons underneath the plaid collar to make an attachment to the fur trim collar. I trimmed the jacket with matte gold buttons to match the look, and added the ruffled pleats to make it a drop waist military inspired plaid jacket. This jacket can be worn with a slim belt or just alone, can be stylish, comfortable, with a dash of glamour using various techniques that I've learned by reading Sew Stylish magazine. I used my own design and pattern doing this project making it a work of art for me.
Thank you so much Sew Stylish and all your staff, for providing a one of kind learning central for creative people like us. More power to you!
