I personally thought it was a bit weird too that the rules didn't specify that the garment had to be complete. It seemed an odd gray area to leave open.
I also agree with the needing a model. When I am wearing my jacket it is more of an empire silhouette, where as on the mannequin it is more natural wasted. Such a difference could be potentially huge for a more fitted garment.
Ultimately this contest is decided by votes. Each person will vote for his or hers favorite in whatever condition they find to their liking. Perhaps this is why the editors allowed my jacket to become a finalist?

My second question is rule should be changed as item need to be actually on model as we need to see how fit it is. With dressform I quite not sure cause actual model body is different.
If sewers think of joining any contest, any competition the item has to be a completed one. Am I right (?)
Izodea - I like your idea to renew 2 suits to this nice jacket. You did a great job really. But besides, I thought you had planty of time to have your item done before deadline. Your post on Threads site was way back to August 13 ...

Thomy- Aside from personal Bias of wanting my own project to win, I do not completely disgree with you. That is why in the spririt of fair competition I stated that my garment was not completed from the begginning.
I checked the rules and it did not say anything about garments having to be 100% complete, so I whent ahead and posted my entry.
