I've fininshed the muslin to my coat. It has shown me a few things. 1.The fit was big in areas that should fit closer. 2. The style lines were off for me; 3.It just was not working. The time to make half the corrections would not have been worth it for me at this point. So this one get the boot, and I am starting all over with a different pattern. Using a muslin before cutting into actual fabric or some other fabric, you would not fear having to trash in the end (if you end up not happy with the final product) is a great way to start any project. It saves you form cutting expensive or very loved fabics in your stash.
