This is a recently completed hair sticks (double prong). I handcarved the cross & prongs using one piece of rectangular wood.

Here is a close up shot of the cross. I detailed it with my wood burning tool.
I paitned this with acrylics. I gave it an aged, primitive look by painting it light blue, then coating with a red, then doing some random sanding to reveal the underlying blue. I coated it with a gloss.
