This is one of my loom knitted hats I did on a circle loom using Red Heart soft yarn.  I used the braid stitch which is wrapping the loom four times and then lifting three loops over one.  You wrap three more around and repeat always lifting three over one. 

I made the tassle by wrapping yarn around the three middle fingers on my left hand.  I tied a loop on the underside and drew it tightly with a knot.  I then cut the other end to make a draping tassle.

My client loved it!
