Iron On, Hand-Stitch a Little, and Out the Door You Go!comments (0) August 27th, 2008
When I looked at these funky butterflies, I thought they were machine embroidered. After closer inspection, I realized that they were flocked iron-on transfers. These Denimbroidery kits feature designs that appear as a light outline after you iron them on—all you have to do is fill them in with easy hand-embroidery stitches. The cool part is that the transfers themselves are really nice, so you don't have to embroider them all—especially if you were inspired to add some pizzaz to your jeans right before you had to leave to go some where (I've done that!).
Anyway, these butterflies are on sale at Clotide, but there are only five left! So hurry up if you want them. I think this is a great idea; I'm going to scout around to see if I can find more sources for this kind of transfer. I just wanted to tell you about these now, since they are in such short supply!
