Urban Fauna Grand Opening in San Franciscocomments (1) August 29th, 2008
I was so excited to see that Jamie Marie Chan has announced her new craft studio and shop, Urban Fauna! She's hosting a party to kick things off on August 30 -- if you're in the Bay Area, don't miss it!
Some of the fun things going on include:
-Free demos for needle felting, weaving on mini looms, spinning, and pom-pom-making.
-Cupcakes and treats galore!
-Goodie bags for the first 75 paying customers, filled with products and samples from Interweave, Sublime Stitching, Vermont Organic Yarn Company, Monkey Sock Monkey, Red Sheep, Fishcakes, and Artgirlz.
-A gift basket raffle... sounds fun!
Jamie is carrying great indie and supplies for all kinds of crafting, from knitting and crochet to jewelry-making, like handmade felt beads, hand-spun yarn, and two lines of handmade stitch markers -- one with her lovely bird logo and one from Starving Artist Bazaar with glass beads on sterling silver -- gorgeous! She also sells favorites like Queen Bee bags and Sublime Stitching patterns. You can get a 15% off coupon for shopping by joining the mailing list, too.
