Button Band Hat

I had to be there for several months and found myself learning how to knit online and with the help of my Mother In law and Grandmother in law who got me this pattern. And I really enjoy it. I love this hat pattern I added the flower myself if you want to you can.
Yarn: Bulky weight yarn

Level: Advanced Beginner Button Band CO 76 sts onto a #10 16" circular needle. Do not join in round, button band is worked flat. Work seed st pat for 6 rows, ending with WS row. RS: work in pattern for 5 sts, BO 3 sts, work in pat to end. WS: Work sts as they lie, CO 3 sts over the gap and work last 4 sts in pat. Work seed st pat for 6 more rows, ending with wrong side row. RS: BO 10 sts--66 sts remain and knit to end. place a st. M and join the rnd. Body Of Hat Cont to knit until piece measures 6 inches from CO edge. Next Rnd: place a st M every 11 sts for crown shaping--making sure that the st M for beg of rnd is a different color then the M's indicating crown shaping. Crown Shaping Change to DPN's when necessary. Rnd 1: *(K2tog, knit to last 2 sts before M K2tog MM); rep from * to end-- 9 sts rem between st M's. Rnd2: K across. Repeat Rnds1-2 until there are 3 sts between eatch M. *(K2tog); and rep from * to end, moving st M's as needed to dec--9 sts rem. Finishing Cut Yarn, leaving an 8 inch tail. With a tapestry needle , pull yarn through rem 9 sts and pull tight to close. Weave in ends on WS of hat. Cut Yarn. Using a tapestry needle and 5 inches of yarn, attach button to the brim.
