LillianbyDesign writes: Since I read Threads article on hat making, I have become the mad hatter! I made similar one pictured in the article but have gone on to buy a teaching book on the subject. Ive since created about 20 hats that I sell in my shop. This is so much fun.

Ursi writes: I made a black lace nightie for myself at Christmastime. I used a well-fitting black bra as the base for my nightie and draped the lace in a comfortable fashion from it. With a purchased pair of black lace panties and a few more embellishments on the nightie, I am planning on a "sexy" night-in for my Valentine and me.

passion writes: I have become an instant grandmother of two wonderful boys ages 8 and 6. When my own boys were little, we would have a Valentine's picnic in the living room and now this will continue. I have sewn a table covering with quilted red fabric onto which I have embroidered LOVE and love birds delivering mail as well as free standing lace hearts to spread over the cloth and stuffed hearts to put on a wreath at the front door to greet the family when they arrive.

valence with a them on each sice. Forinstance St. Patrick's
Day on one side and Valentine on the other side. Just turn the spring rod around and instant holiday decor. You could do Fall/Christmas, Spring/and Fourth of July on another. I also piped the bottom and sides so they hung neatly and evenly. After I turn the valence right side out I just sew
a pocket seam down from the top edge.
