I made the hat to match the mitts and booties, if you could'nt already tell...

-Yarn: 100 yards 4-ply Worsted

-Needles: #6 32'' circular

1. Using the magic loop Technique http://www.knittinghelp.com/videos/advanced-techniques ; CO 80 sts

2. Color A; k1,p1 (rib) for 8 rows

3. Switch to Color B, k for 8 rows

4. switch to Color C, k for 8 rows

5. switch to Color B, K to the end of row, (place M every 16 sts), K next row.

6. k to 3 sts before M, k2tog, k1*, rep * to end of row, con for 7 more rows.

7. switch to Color C, con to dec until you have 8 sts left over.

Finishing

Cut yarn leaving a 6″ tail. Thread yarn through a tapestry needle and pull yarn through last 6 stitches. Pull tight. Secure the yarn on the inside of the hat and weave in ends
