Spring is simply awesome. Well, except for the snotty nose and itchy eyes and the ongoing congestion from pollen allergies - it's friggin' awesome. The sun, the color, the opportunity to get outside and dig around in the dirt! And if you're the CEO of the company that produces Zyrtec, spring is probably awesome for you for a few additional monetary reasons.
Regardless, if you're like me, then you're itching to get out in the weather and plant something amazing. Here are a few ideas I found to make your garden not just fabulous, but uber-fabulous.
Craft a garden sphere or three from concrete for visual interest in any flower bed. A little quick dry cement and cheap, thrift store light covers make it easy to decorate your blooming beds! Find the full diy tutorial over at
Design*Sponge Blog.
Also from
Design*Sponge I love this idea for a
"kokedama" string garden. While the tutorial for this unique, hanging garden presents it as an indoor garden, it could easily be used to brighten up a small outside, balcony space located in the shade.
How do you brighten up your garden or what unusual methods do you employ to make your garden extra special?
