Elegant White Flowers
comments (3) August 31st, 2008 in galleryI fell in love with these as soon as I saw them. I found Jeff Rudell's paper daisies and made a slight variation to it. I used white vellum paper with a design pattern on it so that it will add some realistic characteristics to it. The sun also shines through the petals since the paper is thin. I curved the edges, rolled them upward and used embossed gold flower paper for the center of the flower. For the stem, I used the already clothed wrapped wire which seems more real to me, not to mention it saves wrapping time. I love these flowers and not only were they easy to make, but they look real, people ask where you would buy them, it costs less than 1/10th of what real flowers cost, you can't get allergies from them, and pets can't get ill if ingested!! If you want a scent like real flowers, you may spray them with one of your favorite fragrences. These beautiful flowers costs less than $4 to make about 15 flowers. The pink flowers I used scrapbooking decorative paper. Using two different pinks allowed for a more decorative feel.
