I'm going to be honest with you, because you are taking the time to take a closer look at this stunning pendant pictured above... And you are quite possibly my favorite shop browser for choosing this necklace in particular. I am only about 95% sure that it is petrified wood, in fact, this stone has me a bit baffled. But it sure is beautiful whatever it is!! While asking around about this stone, A friend of mine suggested "Looks like petrified cedar or fir, from fairly old-growth wood." Now all I see is wood grain, and it makes me adore this piece all the more.
The Wood Donut Pendant measures just under 2" in diameter. It has been wrapped with silver plated wire and accented with a green and a bronze Austrian Crystal for a bit of earthy sparkle. Reminiscent of morning dew drops between the cracks of large plates of tree bark. Finished off with a sturdy brown / green velveteen cord. Sooooooo soft and easy-to-use! Plush velveteen exterior, hollow black rubber interior. Cord keeps its shape and resists creasing.
