Recycled T shirt Necklace
comments (0) April 25th, 2011 in gallerySo, I had a t shirt that is kind of periwinkle blue that was too short and wide to fit me. I have been reading about making yarn and necklaces from old t shirts and had nothing to lose. I used my handy rotary cutter and favortie metal ruler and sliced and diced the shirt into strips. I then pulled them to make them roll up into strings. I kept one to the side and took the others and twisted them once and doubled them. I used the remaining strip to tie them together. I created the filligree piece awhile ago and never found the right thing to put it on. I added a clip to the back and clipped it on the necklace and it was perfect! The best thing is you can remove it and wear the necklace plain and you can also use the clip in your hair!
