Gate Stuff

We HAD to have  garden gate so people couldn't see the messy bits of my yard. You know the places. The garbage cans, the junk storage. etc.

I glued 3"x 1" tongue and groove pine together, rounded the top with my jigsaw and then painted it three different coats of color. I then sanded it back so that all the colors could come through in spots. This is my favorite "look" old, antiqued and well loved.

I save old things. hinges, glass knobs and stuff that make me smile. I started attaching some of these beloved and saved forms to my gate. A friend who was watching kept telling me to stop. I was getting to much stuff on the thing. She calls it "Crafty Flypaper" syndrome. Which I have in large quanities.

It was fun and I love it. I get great ideas from all over the web. This spot is a great one.

I create stuff that make me smile. I hope you do to!
