Here's a simple way to whip up a pom-pom if you don't have pom-pom tools on hand. You'll need a ball of yarn (or multiples) and a pair of scissors. Cut an 8-inch piece of yarn and set it aside before you begin wrapping-you'll need it to tie off the pom-pom.

Wrap the yarn around your fingers about 50 times.

Here, I'm using two colors for fun-just be sure that the strands are straight (not twisted up) as you wrap. The more wraps you make, the fuller your pom-pom will be.

Thread a piece of yarn between your middle fingers and tie it in a knot around the yarn wraps.
