Sara's Prom Dress
comments (0) June 9th, 2011 in galleryThese are pictures of my sister in the prom dress I made for her.
The bodice is a backless corset design made from Douppioni silk. The skirt is made from a heavy pull satin with tulle underskirt underneath for volume. The bow on back is made from the satin.
My sister came to me with a rough idea of what she wanted her dress to look like, and I had to figure out how to make it all on my own. It was difficult making sure it fit her perfectly as she lives over 3 hours away!! I couldn't even do a final fitting like I wanted since I had to mail it to her. All in all I'm very proud of the final product. :)
