Daughter's Junior Prom Dress
comments (0) June 15th, 2011 in galleryMy daughter's junior prom dress. Strapless and lace-up in the back. Short in the front and gradually gets longer. Extra fabric so it falls upon itself for a flowing look. Has an inside lining with organza gathered in the front and around the bottom edge to add to the shape and color-scheme. Bow on the back for decoration.
Pattern drafted from scratch and is 100% unique to this dress. It's made of satin as well as glittery organza and organza with sparkle-crystals on the fabric for the accent fabric. The fabric gradients from a pale pink to a darker pink-red on the bottom. The organza ranges from pale pink, to light pink, to pale yellow, and is layered ontop of each other (or on the bottom edge, inside each other) to create the distinct color blend. Unseen is the inside liner, made of thin polyester and is light-pink to contrast with the outside shade of pink.
