How to Embroider Your Own Book Covers for Back-to-Schoolcomments (4) August 22nd, 2014
To create 3-inch flaps later, add 2 inches to both ends.
Cut out your rectangle. You can test-fit the fabric to your book by wrapping around the cover. If your fabric is really stretchy, you can trim an inch or two off one end to get a snugger fit.
Draw a parallel line to each end 3 inches in from the edge. Hoop soft tear-away stabilizer in the hoop and position the fabric so that you can pin it in place along the line.
