Free Spooky Craft Projects to Do with the Kids
comments (3) September 4th, 2008Want some spooky projects to do with the kids? Decorating for Halloween can really set the mood for all your trick-or-treaters. (I can remember making egg carton spiders and lollipop ghosts when I was little.) If you need some inspiration to get you started, you can find plenty of free craft ideas on Allfeecrafts.com. Everything from ways to dress up the house with little creepy crawlers to costume ideas and halloween safety tips.
Here's my favorite spooky decorating tip: Trace the shape of a bat onto black construction paper (or a black cat, spider, or skull and cross bones...whichever spook you like!). Stack a few pieces of paper under the one with the tracing. Cut out your bat, making multiples at a time. Use a silver Sharpie marker to draw in two bat eyeballs and detail on the wings. Hang them in your window so they cast spooky shadows when it's dark outside and the lights are on inside. If you have sheer curtains, pin them to the fabric. You can also tape them on the inside or outside of your roller shades depending on the look you want.
