This shows the quilting over the inner blocks.
In the boders, from inner to outer, I used wavy lines, then a cheerful loopy circle, and finally a string of lights, with snowflakes in the corners.

I usually make quilts to give away, but I wanted one for my home to snuggle with over the season, and to go with a set of pillows I also made this year. I used a combination of panels, holiday themed cottons, and typical calicos for a combination of unique colors that made me smile. I didn't use a pattern, just designed the blocks to fit the squares of the panels. I quilted it using freemotion, and experimented with a few patterns just for fun.
