Purple is a mix of two colors, red (warm) and blue (cold).  The combining of two colors that are opposites gives purple it's unique and attractive color.  Purple is known to enhance creativity and sprituality.  For this reason it is used in a lot of jewelry making as well as on an artists' canvas.  It's a color that calms stress and clears the mind of negative thoughts.  Purple is the color of mourning in Thailand and has also been known as the favorite color of Cleopatra.  Purple can be found in a variety of places from a homemade necklace, to fields of lavender and more.  Take a look above at different ways people use purple.
