Think of the saying, "An elephant never forgets." The elephant is also one of the Seven Jewlels of Royal Power associated with Buddhism. The elephant here stands as a symbol gentleness and calmness. In Africa, the elephant symbolizes status and power, since royalty would ride elephants. Across many cultures though the elephant is a good luck charm. Associated with good fortune and the symbol today, is used in quite a few ways. From a friendship bracelet, to on tees, and even handbags or totes. As a culture, we embrace many other culture's good luck charms, but the elephant as remaind a more popular one.
