My name is Linda Permann, and you might know me from Adorn, where I was the founding Craft and Decorating Editor. I also regularly contribute crochet patterns and advice to Crochet Today, and publish occasional patterns in various books and magazines. I blog about crafting, cooking, and life in Montana at my personal blog, Lindamade.

I’ve been crocheting for over six years and I just love it! I enjoy making hats and accessories, and am becoming increasingly inspired by vintage crochet books. I like quick, simple projects that are practical but fun, and I love to play with color. Above is a picture of one of my all time favorite crochet projects. For all intents and purposes, it’s the Babette Blanket but I switched yarns, graphed out my own placement chart and didn’t follow the pattern. It will become apparent in my blog posts that I highly recommend tweaking patterns to suit your taste.

I’ll be posting about lots of different things here at CraftStylish.com, from book reviews and crochet tips to inspiring designers and blogs to watch. I’ve planned a mini tutorial or for you each week, so if you check in regularly you can learn something new or finesse your skills.
