Straight Out of the Shire
comments (0) November 3rd, 2011Elegantly matching J.R.R. Tolkien's levels of creativity and imagination, architect Peter Archer's modern-day cottage is unquestionably fit for a Baggins. Designed to hold a valuable collection of Tolkien manuscripts and artifacts, Asher finely crafted this structure with respect to both Tolkien's novels and the existing elements of the site: he built the cottage right into the property's 18th-century dry-laid wall. Complete with hobbit-sized round door and butterfly window, this hobbit house has brought Middle-earth out of the fantasy realm and into reality.
Live the life of a hobbit with everything you need: Keep your precious coffee warm with a coffee mug cozy, renovate your guitar with a map of Middle-earth, and protect your feet on that long trek to Mordor with hobbit-friendly "Sauron Shoes". Has the fantastical world of Tolkien inspired any of your crafts?
