Episodes of Project Accessory, a spinoff of the popular Project Runway, airs at 10 p.m. Thursdays on Lifetime.
Cotrice lost the first challenge on Project Accessory with this combination of crystal necklace and bracelet and a beaded wide belt. It wasnt too bad, considering she had to use abandoned storage items!
The judges praised the expensive looking necklace, ring, and the interesting belt Nina Cortes created. Nina won the first Project Accessory challenge.

The first episode of Project Accessory, the spinoff of Project Runway that focuses on - you guessed it - handbags, jewelry, belts, hats, shoes, etc., premiered last night. I'm excited about having a new fashion reality show to watch. Project Accessory is hosted by model Molly Sims, and airs at 10 p.m. Thursdays on Lifetime. If you missed the first episode, catch up at MyLifetime.com.

The first challenge asked the 12 competing designers to create a belt, a necklace, and accessory of their choice to transform a simple T-shirt and jeans look. Fun, but the catch was they had to find all their materials by rooting through abandoned items in a New Jersey storage container building.

The 12 Designers

Adrian Dana
Brian Burkhardt
Christina Caruso
Cotrice
David Grieco
Diego Rocha
James Sommerfeldt
Kelly Horton
Nicolina Royale
Nina Cortes
Rich Sandomeno
Shea Curry

But a word to the models, especially after the second episode shoe challenge. The camera will zoom in your feet. Ever heard of a Ped Egg or at least a pumice stone or loofah? Please don't lose the challenge for your designer by having grungy, crusty, cracked and calloused heels.
