I was in the mood to re-create a 'sleigh' like the one my mother (and father) would create in my younger days using balsa wood to sell at craft fairs. "Yes," there were craft fairs going on in the 50's & 60's! :0) I inherited the original pattern, however, do you think I could find it in my craft room when I needed it?! So, I drew up my own pattern.

However, this one was created using a combination of .022 chipboard/Kraft paperboard sheets, poster board, cardstock & various decorative embellishments because I just wanted to use it as a Christmas card holder. But when finished it's sturdy enough to double as a candy dish or to use as a silk floral arrangement too! Finished sleigh measures: 7-inches Tall x 10.50-inches Long x 3-inches wide.

I am currently creating 4 more "sleigh" designs as well which I hope to make available early 2012! :0)

The Pattern and How-To Instruction re-create the Santa Sleigh isn't available at this time, but, please direct your inquiries to CONTACT @ http://deedledeedoodles.blogspot.com
