Upcycled Bridesmaid Dress for a Victorian Ball

A few years ago, I was the maid of honor at my best friend's wedding. It was a beautiful and memorable event. Like all bridesmaids, I couldn't bear to just throw out or give away a dress that carries great memories. The dress is made really well and with such luxurious fabrics. With nowhere to wear an old bridesmaid gown, it just sat in my closet in a garment bag for years! Every time I opened the closet, it would be calling to me to do something with it. Finally, my aunt invited me to an extravagant Halloween Victorian event for her birthday. Here I was going to this ball and I would be shopping for it anyway, and I thought it was the perfect chance to up-cycle my bridesmaid dress to incorporate into my Victorian ball attire.
