Red Crocodile and Black Leather Purse
comments (0) January 2nd, 2012 in gallery
This bag was completed December 24, 2011. The fabric is black leather recycled from a damaged coat that I purchased at the thrift store, and a lovely imitation red crocodile vinyl that I purchased from Hancock Fabrics. The border is embroidered using "Amazing Embroidery Designs ‘Classical Monogram Font’”. The handbag pattern I used is "Butterrick pattern B5658". The inside of the bag/purse includes a slot for a water bottle; credit card holders; a zippered pouch for a wallet and checkbook; slots for pens and pocket for a cell phone; big enough to be able to carry an iPAD The outside has deep pockets for keys and glasses. I used "Annie's Soft and Stable" stabilizer for the interfaceing which gives the bag that firm but pliable look and feel. There are 1/4" grommets in the handles, and magnets are used inside the leather closure. The feet underneath provide the complete finished look. Merry CHRISTmas to me. :0)
