I am a beginner sewer (i.e., this is my third project!), but I decided to tackle making holiday gifts for some of my friends this year. Luckily, I have a great teacher-- my mom! She came up with a game plan for me, and provided moral support. :-) She even let me use her fancy machine to embroider a koi fish on one of the bags!

These little purses were fun and surprisingly easy to make, and my friends were SO happy to get them!
