comments (0) March 2nd, 2012Calling all glass blowers; ceramicists; handcrafted children’s clothing, toy, accessory and apparel-makers; jewelers and more!
Grand Central Terminal is hosting an open call for the upcoming 2012 Holiday Fair, which kicks off the NYC landmark's Centennial Celebration for 2013.
Individual artists and handcrafters or collectives are invited to show their handmade merchandise in person for a chance to be selected as a vendor for the upcoming Fair. The call will be held 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 14 and 15. You must RSVP to learn the exact location.
The Holiday Fair takes over the Terminal’s historic Vanderbilt Hall with 76 booths of art, children’s clothing, accessories, handbags, home goods, men's and women’s apparel, jewelry, and bath and body products. The planners are highly selective about the artists chosen to participate. It's the longest-running indoor holiday market in New York City - it was first held in 1993!
The 2012 Centennial Holiday Fair runs November 12 through December 24. The participating crafters have their works seen and purchased by the travelers and tourists passing through the busy terminal.
To RSVP, email info@grandcentralterminal.com, with 2012 Holiday Fair Open Call in the subject line. There’s no need to include detailed descriptions of your work - the selection committee is willing to see and evaluate everyone’s work in person.
In reply to your RSVP, you will receive more details on the event and what is expected of you, the talented crafter! Good luck!
