Clear Christmas Candy Cane Luminaries. I took a clear 2 liter coke bottle, before peeling off the label, cut on top of the label all the way around, like its a guided line, then peel off the label, I took 2 inch velvet ribbon, one on top & one on bottom & hot glued it, ends of ribbon go to the back part of the luminairies. I put a hole in the back for the c-7 light bulb with clamp & switch. I then took 2 candy canes wired them together criss crossing the other,  then tied curly red shiny ribbon on them. I used red c-7 bulbs, it matched my decor. The clear c-7 bulbs look elegant also! I put about 2 inches of dirt for the weight inside the 2 liter bottle and if you dont like the look of the dirt, sprinkle alittle of  fake sparkley snow on top of the dirt!

I LOVE your idea!!! What a clever way to make us of all those empty 2 liter bottles. I will have to make some for my daughter's house which is a total peppermint Christmas house!
