No snow in South Florida for Christmas, but we still like Christmassy decorations. This happy Rudolph was made with a Sabal Palm "boot". That's the base of the palm frond where it's attached to the tree. Eventually they fall off and if you can find a nice even one, it makes good antlers for a reindeer.  I knitted him a cap and gave him googly eyes with lashes. A little red paint on his nose and he's ready for Christmas.
