Atlanta is home to a vibrant crafting community. Last weekend I met Colleen Casey, who is an artist and a teacher and has an online fabric shop, Some Art Fabric. Visit her blog and get to know her, too. And see the cute "plushies" made by some of her young students.

Check out the Indie Craft Experience, which is a craft fair held in June and a holiday market in November. ICE also sponsors Kraftwork, a monthly opportunity to sell and buy handmade products.

There are some great co-op galleries in Atlanta, too. Visit Young Blood Gallery and Beehive.

Crafting is alive and well in Atlanta, for sure.
