Handprint Snow Angel
comments (0) December 28th, 2012 in galleryEvery year I make a Christmas craft for relatives that includes my sons hand print. This year it was snow angels. The body is cut from felt and sewn together and stuffed. The branches are 2 sided with stiff interfacing and zig zagged on outer edge. For the wings I trace my son's hand and then cut out the fabric, again two sided with interfacing in the middle and zig zagged around the edge. The eyes are stick on buttons, I cut orange felt for the nose and stitched it on, and free motion sewing for the mouth. The buttons are hand sewn down the front. The scarf is made from some Christmas ribbon with wire and I put some jingle bells on the ends And tied it around the neck. The halo is made from pipe cleaner. The back has a piece of ribbon on it so it can be put on the tree or a door or a wall.
