This piece of needlepoint was worked around a purchased centre motif. I had needed something easy to do in the car while on a family vacation. It was a bit drab so I felted around...

how about covering the end with a band of ribbon that goes all the way around the handle. Slip stitch the ends of the ribbon together and add a couple to stitches to keep the band in place!

there has to be a cute way to make an earring tree with a block of wood at the base, painted gold of course, and branches made of wire. the branches would have to have divets in them to keep pairs together along the course. It shouldn't be too big but on the other hand I have lots of earrings. I rarely wear some of them now because I can't see them in the box that they are currently stored in....Any thoughts?
