I am a stay at home mom who comes from a long line of crafters. Too bad for the most part crafting was absent from my life except in the form of gifts and item from my mothers family. Years after my maternal grandmother passed away, my mother and I decided to try our hands at quilting together. Needless to say, the very first quilt was nearly the end of it all...but between the two of us we pushed until it was finished. Countless quilts later there is a quilt made by my mother and sometimes by us both to be found in every family household. I have found that I can quilt, crochet, and knit, but I am a beginner at it all. The birth of my daughter basically put an end to it all until she reaches the point where she is not stealing my needles, hooks, or thread. She is three and I am thinking it will be soon.
