Re: Book Giveaway - Craft Challenge: Dozens of Ways to Repurpose a Pillowcase

What a great idea - for all those lovely pillowcases my Mom's been saving - "too pretty to sleep on"! I'd love to win!

Re: How to Recycle Magazines into Jewelry

These look great! I'm going to do a "Playing with Paper" workshop at an upcoming singles conference, and I'm definitely going to add these as part of the things to try. The perfect pendant for a paper bead necklace! I'm also going to include making a tiny paper collage pin and tea bag folding. Paper is such fun to play with and the price is definitely right!

Re: The CraftStylish Caption Contest: Knitwear Comes Back to Haunt Us

The Aliens next door really took to American cuisine...they loved apple pie so much they included it in their Christmas photo.

Re: YOU Be the Client: An Open Call for Paper Projects

How about a tree of life, like in the old crewel embroidery? With a variety of interesting leaves, and animals gathered under the branches, birds and bugs and butterflies hiding in the leaves? I think whatever you do needs some wonderful surprises tucked away to "discover" - it makes any project so much more appealing.

I love your work - what a talent God has given you!

Re: Confessions of a Polygamist Crafter

Oh, I relate! I do not scrapbook or make cards, though I do keep a journal. I tried to limit myself to fabric crafts once, but lately I've been going crazy over teabag folding - I have all these darling little paper sculptures and I don't know what to do with them! I'm thinking maybe they'd be nice to embellish a journal cover...but they've multiplied faster than journals! Of course, I'm still sewing...dolls, clothes, a brief dabble in quilting for a gift...and lately, embroidery is calling my name again!

Re: How to Make Pretty Pincushions

When I saw this picture, I knew I had to try making one -they're just so cute. I was looking for a little gift to give to a few friends at a ladies conference we're attending soon and this seemed like a good idea....so, I made one...and another...and another...I'm addicted. My only problem is finding enough bottle caps because we no longer have a soda machine at the office dispensing bottles. I've made at least 7 or 8 and keep thinking up different color combinations! I have some gold metallic thread and want to try that crown... Thanks so much for sharing!
