I have been sewing for years. I was eight years old and joined 4-H. I cried when my 4-H leader would not let me finish my first dress made out of feed sacks in one day. The ultimate award recieved in 4-H was being chosen to become any IFYE to Argentina. I majored in Home Economics at the University of Missouri, Columbia, worked as a county and state Exension Home Economist, taught school 15 years in elementary and high school. I left teaching and worked as an insurance agent for Shelter Insurance for 25 years. I'm retired; but am teaching sewing and quilting in my home. My new business is called "Sew What?". My goal is to help women unravel sewing problems and teach new techniques in fashion sewing, quilting and crafts.
