Debra Jo Hardman is an award winning quilter & Fiber artist/Teacher from Anchorage, Alaska. She specializes in Free Motion Threadplay & Free Motion Quilting, & Over-the-top Embellishing. Her style is free and easy, and fun. She encourages her students to feel free to play and experiment, and learn to express themselves without fear.

Her beginnings were the most humble, achieving an Abominable Mention in the 3rd Worlds Worst Quilt contest. Since then she has garnered several higher honors, including several Blue Ribbons and Best of Show awards.

Her highest achievements to date, include the Best of Show, in the International Husqvarna Viking Feel Free Contest; a Best Quilt in the International Yes Mamm! Contest, & an Honerable Mention for a quilt at APNQ in 2004.

Her students find her methods fun, inspiring and liberating.

Recently she has started a Longarm quilting business.
