Cute idea but I am not so sure it will work. You didn't take into account for the grainline. This dress will be stretch it's length when you wear it for more than 1 hour. Even with the vertical seams. If not all the dress, parts will stretch vertically. When you cut and use the body of a tshirt that way, the stretch goes vertically instead of horizontally like on a tee shirt.
