USA born and raised....now living in Paradise in southern Mexico...Have been sewing most of my 72 years. Had small sewing business in Colorado before moving to Mexico. I love the rich colors here....the embrodery work, the warm climate, the fact that we can afford to live here. We´ve built a beautiful rustic hacienda north of Acapulco....front yard the ocean and in back a beautiful lagoon ...views of the southern Sierra Madre moutains. Mostly wearing shorts and tee shirts year round now so mostly sewing as gifts, home decoration, and occasionally a dress or skirt..........waaaa I miss sewing!

Retrochic74 I just love your sewing ........really! My comment is that I still picture this dress in a soft drapy fabric...this just looks too crisp and stiff to me. I made that dress and pattern for a friend in....???? 1980? she wore it until it was thread bare...I see news anchor women in that dress to this very day.....If I didnt´live in a tropical climate and wore dresses I certainly would choose this one.
